Silver Pendant, 'Phoenix Charm'
Inspired by ancient Chinese bronze motifs, silver artist Yang Zelong created a small collection of fine silver (.99 rating silver) jewelry pieces. This pendant features a phoenix pattern carved by hand. The top of the pendant is curled to hold the string. The mythical phoenix is a good omen in Chinese culture. The icon of phoenix appeared on ancient bronzes as early as Shang Dynasty (16 century BC)

About the artist, Yang Zelong
Yang Zelong just had his 30th birthday, but he already has 20 years of experience as a silversmith. Taught by his grandfather, Yang Zelong started his apprentice training when he was 10. He memorized hundreds of traditional designs by heart. He has also created a series of elegant and simple modern designs.
