Tibetan Conch Shell Sterling Silver Pendant

This Tibetan pendant is handmade with conch shell segments.  The gap within the conch shell is then embedded with red coral and turquoise pieces.  Then the pendant is hand polished and fitted in a sterling silver frame.  Using the natural shape and formation of the conch shell, each pendant is unique in shape and pattern.

Conch shell is used in Tibetan Buddhism to call together religious assemblies. During the actual practice of rituals, it is used both as a musical instrument and as a container for holy water.
