Hand painted mask of Liubei. All the elements including the facial makeup design and the crown design all follows the traditions of Beijing Opera. The mask of Liu Bei is relative rare seen, because of the simplicity of his makeup design. Mr. Duan custom made this for us.
Liu Bei is the King of Shu during the Three Kingdoms period. His stories can be found in the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms".

I had the pleasure of ordering three of these masks from Mr. Duan through Galleria Pangea; this mask (Lui Bei) along with the Guan Yu and Zhang Fei masks. Fantastic help and customer service, and excellent quality products. You really can't see how spectacular these masks are until you're holding one in your hand. Pictures could simply never do them justice. When I initially was looking for these masks online I couldn't find anyone who made them to this detail of quality. The Lui Bei mask I couldn't even find anywhere else online (likely because he is not a brightly painted "Jing" character of the Beijing Opera), but Galleria Pangea placed a special request with My Duan and he agreed to make one. Service like that is just unheard of. I will definitely be coming back to order other art from this fantastic company. - Nathan, California
