Bronze Vessel, 'Phoenix & Cicada Jue'
This Chinese bronze wine vessel is decorated with Phoenix and Cicada patterns. The original Phoenix Cicada pattern Jue was made in Shang Dynasty (1600 BC - 1046BC). Jue was used as a wine cup during the ancient times. Phoenix and Cicada patterns are both lucky patterns used for various vessels.
