This hand-cast bronze Zun is a replica of the Shang Dynasty relic (17 century B.C.~ 11 century B.C.), a wine vessel in the shape of an elephant. A smaller elephant on the top serves as the cap for the Zun. The body of the elephant is full of detailed decorative patterns. And the patterns are also smartly transformed into other animal forms. The original piece was excavated in Liling of Hunan province, now collected in Hunan Museum.
