This painting shows a parrot is hanging from its stand on a blooming pear tree. It was originally painted by famous Qing Dynasty royal painter, Shen Quan. He specializes in painting animals, flowers and dragons. Many of his paintings are collected by Qing emperors. The parrot is painted with beautiful color, as well as the pear blossom.

Replicated by Cao Xiaohui, the painting is mounted on a silk Chinese painting scroll.
