Coming far away from Southwest China, this small ceramic vase adopts the design kept by the Nakhi people who live in Yunnan province of China.
This vase, handmade by Nakhi artist, features a group of girls around the base of the vase. Some girls wear headdresses resembling horns of goats. The horn design is to honor a Nakhi guardian “San Duo”, who was born in the year of the sheep of the Chinese zodiac.
