This handmade pottery statue features the Nahki fertility goddess – Nati.  The female features are amplified as part of the goddess worship.  The breasts and reproductive organs are over-sized showing the power of Nati as the fertility goddess. 

So many necklaces elongate the Nati's neck.  This is believed an ancient custom, for female to wear brass necklace that goes around their necks.  You can still find women like this in Thailand where the long neck tribe lives, whose ancestors are from China's Yunnan province.
