Wooden Doll, 'Yi Ethnic Boy'
Dressed in traditional clothes, the handmade wooden Yi boy ethnic wooden doll shows the custom and tradition of Chinese minorities. The boy wears a blue turban-like headdress. He dresses in a black jacket with a cap tied around his neck. He also wears a skirt which is a Yi tradition for men to wear skirt as well.

About the artist, Zheng Qingyin
Zheng Qingyin was born in a Miao ethnic family in Guizhou, Southwest China. She loved the colorful Miao dresses and Miao embroideries growing up. When she was twelve, she made her first Miao wooden doll with clothes she stitched as a birthday present for her best friend. People who saw the doll all loved it, and Zheng liked it very much as well. Making dolls became her childhood hobby.
