"Most of the young people have left the village to work in big cities as construction workers, waitresses, or maids," says Yang, "Very few became rich and most of them are still poor.  I didn't leave my village.  I think we have so many amazing traditions and wonderful crafts for us to carry on.  I started this workshop with a few grandmas left in the village.  Now a few youngsters joined us as well.  I hope my workshop will give young people a better option for them financially.  And they can be proud of their cultural roots and continue our traditions."
