This is clay wall plaque features one of the most famous Chinese heroes, Guan Yu.  Lord Guan, one of the warriors from Chinese classic 'Romance of Three Kingdoms'.  The red face and long beard is the signature look of Guan.  He also carries his usual weapon, the Blue Dragon Crescent Blade.  Guan was deified later as the alternative version God of Wealth and Virtue.  You can find statues of him in many Chines restaurants and Buddhist temples.  Read more...
