This mud sculpture monkey of intelligence is hand cast and painted. The monkey has been painted with Peony flowers and Chinese coins that represent luck and wealth. Monkeys have long been one of the most favorable animals in the Chinese culture. Monkeys are clever and playful; they appear in many of the Chinese folklores and stories. Monkey is also the ninth animal in the Chinese zodiac.
