Chinese Scroll Painting, "Emperor Yongzheng"

This painting was originally painted by unknown Qing Dynasty royal court painter.  This is a portrait of Qing Emperor Yong Zheng, father of Emperor QIanlong.  Emperor Yongzheng, son of Emperor Kangxi, was the fourth emperor of the QIng Dynasty.  He was known as a very hard working emperor.  He also enjoyed dressing up as Chinese Han scholar. 

This portrait is replicated by artist Cao Xiaohui.  Hand painted with a great amount of detail, the painting is mounted on a silk Chinese scroll.

Cao Xiaohui was born in Henan Province. He started studying classic Chinese painting styles since he was 12 years old. He learned his techniques from studying the ancient classic paintings.
