This armored horse sculpture is a duplication of ancient Chinese pottery made in North Wei (386~534). Armor scales cover entire body of the horse, except mouth and hooves.
The armor consists three major parts: one part protects horse head; the largest part covers whole chest and waist of the horse; there is another part of armor to protect the rear. Every piece of scale of armor is painted by hand. The solider holds bridle rein with both hands and looking at the distance.
