Miao Silver Ring, 'Lasting Wealth'

The ring is decorated with a series of patterns that look like the number eight and nine.  In Asian cultures, people are very superstitious about numbers.  People avoid room numbers with a four, because four sounds like death in Chinese.

Number 8 and 9 are both lucky numbers.  8 means wealth and 9 means long lasting.  Combining the lucky number together, the artist wishes the owner of the ring will have good fortune and long lasting wealth.
