Pottery Replica, Tang Dynasty, 'Double Dragon Longneck Vase'
This Tang Tri-color pottery replica features the double dragon handle long neck vase with colorful glaze.
A slick bulbous body narrows into a long straight neck; two dragons sit on the different sides of the vase as two handles. Glazed yellow as grounding of this whole vase, two paintings are embossed on it. One painting presents a beautiful scene of a courtyard in Tang; and the other shows a boy is lying on a pile of corn.

About the artist, Gao Shuiwang
Gao Shuiwang, 48 years old, was born in the Stone Mountain Village, Henan province of China. Many of the villagers are very good part time craftsmen making Tang Tri-color pottery. Gao grew up hanging around those craftsmen. Instead of playing during his free time, Gao spent his childhood learning the secret of making tri-color pottery. He has received the “Outstanding Folk Artist” award, by the UNESCO for his remarkable skill.
