Tibetan Jewelry, 'Silver Gau Prayer Box'
This small Gau box is made with Tibetan silver, which is an alloy of copper, nickel, and silver. Gau box is similar to a wish box, the Tibetans often put in mantras in the box and wear the Gau.
On the back of this silver gau box, the pattern is the "Kalachakra" pattern. Kalachakra is also known as the "time wheel", is one of the most popular mantra in Tibet. The mantra holds the meaning of life, universe, and time.
