This wood sculpture is in the form of an elongated horse feed spoon. The locals believe wood horse feed spoons can protect their home and family. About the artist, Cun liusan
Cun Liusan is a Yunnan Nahki (Naxi) native artisan. He lives in the old city of Lijiang,Yunnan Province, China. He specializes in wood etching. He first paint his wood plates in glossy solid colors or gradients of different colors. Then he uses it as a canvas, and etches his designs on. His designs are mainly about Nahki gods, guardians, and totems.
