Wood Wall Hanging, 'Conch Shell'
This small wood wall plaque features the Conch Shell design and Dongba scripts. The right-turning conch shell is considered to be holy in Tibetan buddhism. Nahki (Naxi) people resides in Yunnan province which is very close to Tibet. With tibetan Buddhism influence, the Nahki people also worships the conch shell.

About the artist, Cun liusan
Cun Liusan is a Yunnan Nahki (Naxi) native artisan. He lives in the old city of Lijiang,Yunnan Province, China. He specializes in wood etching. He first paint his wood plates in glossy solid colors or gradients of different colors. Then he uses it as a canvas, and etches his designs on. His designs are mainly about Nahki gods, guardians, and totems.
